Vigan Fiesta Celebration

 The Vigan City Fiesta is celebrated on the 25th of January every year. It is commemorated on the day of St. Paul the Apostle's conversion. It is common for Filipinos to return to their hometowns in order to join their relatives and friends in the celebration of their fiesta, and Biguenos from all over the nation and even from overseas do so to engage in the festivities. 

A large number of people from other regions of the Philippines and from other countries are also present to take part in the cultural events, parades, and street dance that are organized by the local 

government with the assistance of local businesses and communities. There will also be food markets, cultural events exhibitions, and a touring carnival, among other things. Way back January 2021, in the event that a case of COVID was reported The cancellation or postponement of large public gatherings and non-essential activities was announced. As a result, the municipal administration of Vigan found methods of celebrating without endangering the spread of the virus, but with a slightly different way of excitement than in previous years.

Others may suffer as a result of the interruption of casual gatherings and family ceremonies that take place at times of celebration, among other things. There was no carnival or street dance, but they had a celebration in their own barangay to celebrate the event. There is nothing that should prevent us from honoring traditions and enjoying our culture by singing songs, dancing, playing games, and eating certain delicacies.
