Significance of Kannawidan Festival in every Ilocanos
Festivals are an expressive way to commemorate and celebrate our great past, history, and customs in a fun and engaging way. They are intended to be shared with our loved ones in order to celebrate key events and feelings in our life. They serve an important role in providing structure to our personal interaction, as well as connecting us with our families and traditional culture, among other things. They provide a welcome respite from the monotony of our day-to-day lives and provide us with some motivation to recall the key things and times in our lives that have passed.
The celebration places more emphasis on the Ilocano
children. It is due to the fact that Ilocano culture is not acknowledged by the
province's younger generations. Instead, there is a greater emphasis on current
dances. Children from the Ilocano region may learn to respect their rich
culture and customs. It is for this reason that this Festival is being held.
Every year, a variety of events are held that are geared at showcasing the
abilities and skills of the pupils, including traditional tribe rites, choral
performances, and traditional and folk dances.
