Our Children Deserve Better.

With the theme "New Normal Na Walang Iwanan: Karapatan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan!" this month is dedicated to children's rights, with the message that every kid's right should be respected and that no child should be left alone. Children all around the Philippines are experiencing extreme sadness and fear that is distinct to their generation, nearly two years after the country was placed under lockdown.

Because to the COVID-19 epidemic, children have suffered, and families are still struggling to cope with the socioeconomic consequences of the pandemic, which have threatened their livelihoods and reduced their access to essential social services. Young people nowadays do not have the same happy childhood experiences that young people experienced before pandemic.

Children's rights will be promoted, and practical help will be provided to parents and caregivers on how to care for their children and themselves throughout the pandemic. Children will be empowered to protect themselves and report abuse they have witnessed or experienced. The most important reason for celebrating today is the objective of putting a stop to violence against children. "Kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan," as Jose Rizal memorably phrased it. This provides us with even more motive to protect them. These children are given the same rights as a full-grown adult, they deserve to be loved and educated, as well as nourished and cared for when they get unwell.
